Queensland Rail is built on true connection and everything we achieve is made possible by you.  We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our People, Safety and Sustainability team on temporary full-time basis until 30/06/2025 based in Brisbane. 

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

• Generating reports from corporate systems, analyse data and identify trends and anomalies, and define recommendations to support business decision making.
• Leading a stream of work to model, report and support delivery of effective solutions across multiple improvement projects. 
• Working with stakeholders across the business to define people and process improvement options.
• Identifying improvement opportunities in data management and reporting.
• Suggesting recommendations to meet future state data and reporting requirements in consultation with business users and managers.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience gathering and documenting high level and detailed business requirements, and documenting business rules across a broad spectrum of stakeholders. 
• Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities to achieve results.
