Are you passionate about transforming systems and processes through AI and sharing your insights to help your team succeed?  Queensland Rail is seeking a forward-thinking Business Systems Officer (AS4) to join our high-performing Supply Chain Transformation team.

 

As a Business Systems Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in the administration and support of our key business systems, including SAP Ariba (Sourcing & Contracts), VendorPanel, and DocuSign. You’ll be the first point of contact for end users, ensuring they get the support they need to work efficiently and confidently.

 

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • System administration for supported platforms (SAP Ariba, VendorPanel, DocuSign).
  • Providing responsive, friendly end user support and troubleshooting.
  • Testing and implementing system changes and enhancements.
  • Developing and maintaining clear, user-focused documentation and guides.
  • Contributing to best practice and continuous improvement across the Supply Chain & Corporate Services team.
  • Leverage AI tools (Microsoft Copilot) to automate manual master data management tasks, while continuously exploring, implementing, and sharing innovative, simplified workflows and best practices with the wider team.

 

 

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD.  The role offers a starting salary of $101,493 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.

What we’re looking for

 

  • Experienced in system administration. Direct experience with SAP Ariba Sourcing & Contracts or VendorPanel is highly regarded, but not essential.  Candidates with a strong aptitude for learning new systems and applying process automation using AI are encouraged to apply.
  • A strong communicator with a genuine desire to help others and share knowledge.
  • Detail-oriented, curious, and eager to understand the “why” behind processes.
  • Creative and innovative, with a knack for problem-solving and prioritising tasks.
  • Motivated to build capability and drive positive change.
  • Skilled in using AI tools and proactive in finding better ways to work and sharing helpful ideas with the team.
