Queensland Rail is seeking a proactive and strategic Principle Training Adviser to contribute to our team.

 

In this pivotal role, you will serve as the principal advisor, working closely with business leaders and training teams to strategically guide and align training and development initiatives, identify critical competency gaps, and provide expert insights and solutions that drive the achievement of business goals and enhance overall organisational capability.

 

As a Principal Training Adviser you will:

  • Collaborate with Business Leaders: Work closely with business leaders to identify training and development needs, plan and prioritise initiatives, and align them with organisational goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders to integrate their needs and bridge the gap between business areas and the corporate Training and Development function.
  • Advisory Expertise: Provide expert guidance to develop modern, high-quality training solutions, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and enterprise requirements.
  • Training Strategy Development: Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise-wide training and development strategy.
  • Learning Integration: Lead the integration of training outputs into business operations, collaborating with Lines of Business and Corporate Centres to create sustainable delivery plans.
  • Identify Training Solutions: Assist in identifying training needs across the business and help develop tailored training solutions to meet these needs.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with other areas of Training and Development to broker the best solutions to training and development challenges.
  • Specialist Projects: Participate in People, Safety, Sustainability, and Training & Development projects as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive knowledge of adult learning and vocational education strategies, frameworks, and theories and their practical application.
  • Proven expertise in identifying competency requirements and conducting training needs analysis.
  • Strong experience in designing and implementing training strategies, programs, and processes to support business outcomes.
  • Expertise in brokering training and development services across large and complex organisations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, consultation, and negotiation skills to build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
