At Queensland Rail the health and wellbeing of our employees is a priority. A wide range of free services are available to support and enhance employee’s physical, emotional and financial wellbeing. These services include:
Health assessments for rail safety workers
24/7 on call support for emergencies and critical incidents.
Employee Assistance Program
Benestar is the Employee Assistance provider for Queensland Rail employees, offering a range of 24/7 online tools and information to support employees in achieving the best possible personal and work life outcomes.
Free and Confidential Counselling
To tackle life’s challenges, or simply as part of maintaining strong mental wellness, employees can access 3 one-hour confidential counselling sessions per year, either face-to-face, over the phone, via video, online or via Life Chat.
Annual Flu Vaccination
Queensland Rail employees can combat flu season with a free flu vaccination either on-site or by using a Vaccination Voucher if unable to attend an on-site location.
rt health
Queensland Rail employees and their family members are eligible to join rt health and access their range of health insurance plans at competitive prices. Employees will also receive a $100 Woolworths WISH card when joining, waiver of all 2 and 3 month extras waiting periods, and complete continuity of cover if already serving waiting periods with another fund with similar cover.
Financial Wellness
At Queensland Rail, we understand that financial stress can be detrimental to the mental and physical health of our people. We partner with QSuper, MOVE Bank and Benestar MyCoach to offer a wide range of information, tools and support.
