Your opportunity
As a Traction Linesperson, you'll play a crucial role in the safety and efficiency of our overhead traction power equipment, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our rail infrastructure. Joining our South East Queensland team, you'll cover a vast track network and have a few different locations of depots that can be offered.

You’ll be responsible for:
- Installing, maintaining and repairing overhead traction power equipment, such as overhead lines, wires and components
- Implementing and coordinating traction system isolation and safety protocols during maintenance and repair activities
- Conducting regular inspections and testing traction power assets to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards
- Recording and reporting on asset condition, maintenance activities and equipment performance
- Collaborating with team members to review and improve work procedures for quality and efficiency
This role will be ideal for people who:
- Have proven experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of overhead traction power equipment OR experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of overhead power equipment is a plus, but the right attitude matters most.
- A strong knowledge of high-voltage operating procedures, safe working practices, and Workplace Health and Safety Act regulations
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and thrive in a team environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Hold an Electrical Linesperson License
- Possess a 'C' class driver licence
