Queensland Rail is seeking a motivated and experienced Structures Team Leader to join our Regional Assets Team, based at either our Ayr or Townsville depot.

  • Potential annual salary of $135,000 (including penalties & allowances) + 12.75% super 
  • Predominantly a 9-day fortnight - Mon to Tues (5 day wkd )

About the role:

 

As a Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective maintenance of our structures, bridges, and culverts. You’ll lead a small team of Bridgeworkers and help plan, resource, and deliver works to the highest standards.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance operations on bridges and structures
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to expected standards
  • Support planning, problem-solving, and job preparation activities
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and minor servicing of equipment
  • Allocate and support mechanical maintenance tasks
  • Perform administrative and record-keeping duties

 About You:

 

  • Strong knowledge of bridge and structural maintenance standards, processes, and costs
  • Proven leadership, team coordination, and communication skills
  • Sound understanding of relevant systems including SAP, MS Office, and IQMS
  • A commitment to Queensland Rail’s Values and Behaviours
  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry is highly regarded
