Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Team Leader to provide leadership and direction to a dedicated team responsible for maintaining Queensland Rail’s infrastructure and operations. This role is critical in ensuring the effective delivery of maintenance activities, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team to achieve operational goals
• Planning and coordinating maintenance and operational tasks to ensure efficiency
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Managing resources, schedules, and budgets to meet business objectives
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes and outcomes
• Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations

This Role Will Be Ideal for People Who:

• Have experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a maintenance, operations, or infrastructure environment
• Possess strong communication and people management skills
• Are highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Are safety-focused and committed to best practices in workplace health and safety
• Hold relevant qualifications or trade experience (preferred)
• Have a valid driver’s license and the flexibility to travel as required

Location & Work Environment

This role is based at Banyo, Plant and Mechanised Maintenance Depot. with travel required to various sites within the Queensland Rail network.  You will work in an outdoor, hands-on environment, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of key assets.
