An exciting opportunity exists for a Food and Beverage Control Officer on a permanent full-time basis to join the team in ensuring stock will be received, stored, replenished and loaded in a timely, safe and efficient manner for the provisioning of food and beverage to On Board Services long distance trains.

As a Food and Beverage Control Officer some of your duties will include:
- Receive orders from the trains, pick stock and load trains – this includes working ahead of schedule to be prepared ahead of time.
- De-provision supplies from all trains and sort stock, returning re-useable stock to the On Board Services Catering Team.
- Comply with all food safety regulations and follow food safety procedures.
- Rotate stock on daily basis and participate in monthly stocktakes.
- Maintain daily inspection sheets for plant, equipment and food transport vehicles and operate motor vehicles.
- The hours are generally between 6am to 4pm. You will be required to work some weekends, public holidays and occasional evening shift.
In addition to the ability to perform the above duties, the ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in managing stock, inventory control and preparation of stock
- Substantial knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP monitoring procedures, matrix loading systems and associated manual and computer-based systems
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work loads
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Substantial level of skill in manual handling of goods, cleaning procedures and the operation of delivery vehicles
- You must hold a ‘C’ class drivers’ licence and A ‘MR’ licence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Resilience and adaptability with the ability to thrive in a faced paced environment with exceptional communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Food Hygiene certificate is highly desirable.
