Your opportunity
As the Training Delivery Resource Coordinator, you will play a critical role in designing and optimising complex training plans and systems across a large operational rail environment. This role is suited to someone who thrives on proactive planning, leveraging technology to innovate and improve efficiency, and proactively managing interdependent activities to ensure KPIs are met. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including leaders within TSD, Tutor Drivers, Tutor Guards and other business areas, balancing competing priorities while ensuring training delivery is compliant, well sequenced and responsive to business needs.
Success in this role relies on strong systems thinking, confidence with digital tools, and the ability to build productive, trusted relationships across the organisation.
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Lead the proactive development and management of Rail Traffic Crew route training plans to meet all regulatory, legislative and business requirements.
- Coordinate non-revenue train bookings and liaise with internal stakeholders to meet training needs.
- Oversee Rail Traffic Driver summative assessment scheduling and ensure all training, operational and logistical requirements are met.
- Monitor and update route training plans in line with legislation, industrial agreements, WHS obligations and Queensland Rail policies.
- Work with the Training Delivery Manager, Tutor Driver Team Leader and Tutor Guard Team Leader to allocate Tutor resources for events, maintenance programs and service disruptions.
- Support the TSD Training Delivery Manager and TSD Training Team with additional activities as required.
About you:
- Extensive experience interpreting and applying operational requirements, including enterprise agreements, operational procedures, standards, and competency frameworks.
- Strong capability in developing, monitoring, analysing and coordinating training plans to deliver effective business outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and time management skills.
- High-level administrative, planning and organisational skills to support the development and ongoing maintenance of training plans.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, an ability to learn and adapt to new software systems quickly and the ability to navigate several systems simultaneously.
- Well-developed‑ interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and ‑decision-making‑ skills.
