Train Service Delivery Operational Improvement Officer

We have a fixed term opportunity until June 2025 for a Train Service Delivery Improvement Officer, based at our Bowen Hills office and reports to the Senior Manager Train Service Delivery.
In this crucial role, you will work as a member of the Train Service Delivery (TSD) team providing analytical and project management support within TSD through high quality analysis and interpretation for the development, implementation and communication of business and operational improvement initiatives and strategies with a heavy focus on safety.
About the role:

Coordinate TSD’s investigations and reporting of WHS incidents/accidents, traincrew Health and Safety Committees and Health and Safety Representative Elections

Critically analyse and report on Train Service Delivery safety performance and other operational related data

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders

Provide strategic support to Train Service Delivery Management in the communication and promotion of business objectives

Coordinate, write and maintain relevant SEMS information
You will bring:
-
Detailed analysis of data and business information to identify business improvement initiatives together with a substantial skill level in the development and implementation of effective internal communication plans.

Strong communication and consultation skills necessary to build and sustain productive relationships

A good knowledge of Safety Management Systems and legislation relevant to Workplace Health and Safety
A safety and analytical background is highly desired but not essential for this role.
