About the team
Our Regional Assets business plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of Queensland’s rail network, keeping it dependable for the people of our state.
This role is part of our skilled Wayside Systems team, which includes Signal Electricians and Mechanical Systems Maintainers. Together, the team services the region from Bloomsbury to Inkerman, carrying out a range of tasks from proactive preventative maintenance to signalling upgrades and corrective repairs. Their collaborative efforts keep the rail network running smoothly and safely for all Queenslanders.
About the role
- Install and repair signalling equipment
- Attend signalling failures to analyse, repair and report on cause of signal failures
- Maintain records and associated documentation relating to asset renewal programs and costing systems
- Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment performance and condition irregularities
About you
- Certificate IV Railway Signalling
- Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- Current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence or interstate equivalent that can be changed over prior to starting
- Must have capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
