We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager Assurance and Commissioning to join our MPERS team. This is an opportunity to use your strong railway and leadership experience to lead and manage the Assurance and Commissioning function for the Cross River Rail Tunnels, Stations and Development (TSD) program with accountability to ensure the effectiveness of all assurance, testing, commissioning, verification and validation activities for all in-scope assets and systems

 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead and effectively manage the Assurance and Commissioning function
  • Lead and manage the implementation strategies, systems, tools, plans and procedures to ensure that the program achieves it Assurance and Commissioning objectives
  • Manage the prioritisation, planning and resourcing of all in-scope assurance and commissioning activities being performed by Queensland Rail
  • Anticipate and address potentially significant safety, technical and commercial risks associated with the assurance and commissioning of a large-scale program
  • Ensure project objectives are achieved within Queensland Rail's Assurance and Rail Configuration Control frameworks

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary risk management, operational readiness and assurance principles and practices as they apply to large, complex organisations.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering principles, standards and practices in the testing and commissioning of safety related and equipment in a project environment
  • High level of skill in the assurance and commissioning of enterprise- wide projects in a large and complex
  • High level of influencing, interpersonal, consultation, relationship building, stakeholder management and negotiation skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships
