Cross River Rail (CRR) is the largest transport project in Queensland, it will set the foundation for a world-class, integrated public transport system in SEQ that will transform Queensland Rail and the way we operate. The Asset Acceptance Lead will play an integral role in supporting our internal delivery teams to help ensure the assets being delivered on the project are compliant against the acceptance criteria.
This is a newly created role which will be responsible for leading and coordinating the asset acceptance processes and associated assurance for the CRR and European Train Control System (ETCS) contractor delivered assets and systems. This role is pivotal in helping minimise the risk of non-acceptance of assets delivered by external parties and enabling the successful integration of Cross River Rail into the existing rail network.
To be successful in this role you will need extensive knowledge of risk management, assurance and governance principles and practices as they apply to large, complex projects. You will have experience within the rail industry or previous major projects where a systems engineering approach was applied to ensure externally delivered assets met requirements, were safe and operationally fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Implement and manage the Asset Acceptance framework for QR Major Projects
- Develop and mange processes and systems to plan, co-ordinate and monitor asset acceptance activities
- Work with stakeholders to coordinate and develop asset acceptance plans ensuring acceptance criteria are clearly defined
- Lead the asset acceptance assurance activities
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and monitor non-conformances
- Establish and maintain knowledge of critical aspects within contract packages related to asset acceptance.

The salary for this role is approximately $123,000.00 + Super + Free Rail travel to and from work. This is a permanent full time role.
