About this role:
Working within Queensland Rail’s Major Projects division as the Asset Integration Manager – Signalling & Telecommunications, you will be working as part of the Major Projects division on the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade. You will provide technical leadership within a multi-disciplinary and multi-party environment, ensuring solutions are safe, compliant, and operationally effective.
This role is a fixed term role until 30 April, 2028, based in Brisbane CBD.
You can expect some of your responsibilities to include:
- Lead the provision of expert Signalling & Telecom(S&T) services, advice, and recommendations to complete the B2N project in accordance with the project requirements, scope, quality, budgets and timeframes
- Lead and coach individuals and teams in delivering quality outcomes through business improvements, technology development and innovation.
- Provide guidance, as a professional engineer, for S&T works and monitor and manage compliance of the team with the requirements of professional practice and the Quality Management System to provide consistent output of S&T services, ensure compliance with safety, operational and environmental legislation, regulations and practices.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders in order to obtain advice and guidance relating to S&T initiatives and activities to provide the best possible advice and support to the B2N project.
- Achieve the B2N targets, objectives, performance measures, safety responsibilities and continually seek to implement business performance improvement initiatives.
What you can bring to the role:
- High level of skill in Design, Renewals, Implementation, Testing and Commissioning of (HV Traction / Signalling / Track and Civil / Telecommunications) infrastructure.
- High level of skill in leading and developing a team of professional engineers and technical officers in a multi-discipline environment
- High level of skill in the delivery of business focused technical S&T solutions that deliver commercial value in at least one area of S&T discipline.
- High level of skill in delivering commercial advantage and outcomes through business improvements, technology development and innovation.
- High level of skill in meeting statutory, regulatory and policy obligations, particularly in relation to satisfy the safety, environment, contract processes and human resource requirements in a commercially focused business.
