About the role
 

Join our dedicated Banking Services team at Queensland Rail as a Banking Services and Support Officer (AS3)!

 

This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working in a role that combines precision with customer service.  You’ll play an essential role in supporting QR’s financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions and providing high quality support to our staff on Cabcharge and expense management queries.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Assisting in the preparation and processing of local and international electronic funds transfers (EFT) payments.
  • Accurately allocate incoming payments to customer and General Ledger accounts in SAP.
  • Handle Cabcharge voucher requests and assist with credit card inquiries.
  • Monitor and manage a high volume of emails, addressing queries promptly and professionally.
  • Provide additional administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the Banking Services team.

 

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Basic proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook for efficient handling of data, documents, and communication.
  • Experience using SAP Concur, with familiarity in processing credit transactions or working with expense management systems.
  • A foundational understanding of finance or banking operations to support the team’s core functions.
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial processes.
  • Effective communication skills to handle a range of inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
  • Strong time management abilities to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • An aptitude for understanding new systems and processes, with a proactive approach to your work.

Remuneration & Employment Type

 

This is a 12-month fixed-term, fulltime position, based in Brisbane CBD with a starting base salary of $82,857 plus 12.75% superannuation and hybrid work options to support the balance between work and personal commitments.
