Your opportunity
We are excited to announce a newly created opportunity for a Centre of Excellence (CoE) Specialist (AS6) to join our Supply Chain and Corporate Services team in Brisbane. This role is designed to help uplift procurement and supply chain capability across Queensland Rail by driving continuous improvement, enhancing governance, and leveraging emerging technologies.
You will play an important role in shaping the future of our procurement and supply chain practices, developing policies and procedures, engaging stakeholders, and delivering business process improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain functions.
- Develop and implement procurement and supply chain policies, procedures, and frameworks that support strong governance and compliance.
- Leverage data analytics and emerging technologies to generate actionable insights, support procurement and supply chain functions, and inform leadership decision-making.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for capability uplift, process optimisation, and organisational maturity improvement in procurement and supply chain practices.
- Design and deliver impactful executive-facing content, including strategy papers, presentations, procurement and supply chain publications, and training resources, leveraging visual design tools and structured communication techniques.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $135,199 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.
What we’re looking for
- Extensive experiences in procurement and supply chain management in large corporate, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a track record in influencing senior-level stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align on objectives, resolve conflict, and deliver outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement and supply chain governance, including the ability to develop, implement, and continuously improve organsational wide policies, procedures, frameworks, and operating models.
- Strong analytical and design skills, with the ability to translate complex data and business insights into compelling visual content such as high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Experience in leading framework development, including operating models and continuous improvement initiatives underpinned by lean thinking, data analytics, or digital tools.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and procurement-legislation, with demonstrated application of governance frameworks (e.g., QPP, Modern Slavery Act).
