Now, we’re looking for a strategic and experienced Commercial Contract Management Lead (AS7) to join our team and help shape the future of rail in Queensland.

 

 

Your opportunity

 

We’re seeking a commercially astute leader to head a team of Contract Specialists, delivering high-quality contract management solutions across our Supply Chain and Corporate Services division. This is a great opportunity offering the chance to make a tangible impact on major projects and procurement strategies.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Lead and develop a team of Contract Specialists to drive best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Provide expert commercial and contractual advice on complex matters and contract strategies.
  • Develop and implement models to manage contract and commercial risks.
  • Support pre-contract negotiations and advise on contract structure and terms.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful contract outcomes.
  • Manage contractor performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with legal and environmental standards.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $151,359 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.

 

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Proven leadership in managing high-performing contract management teams.
  • Extensive experience with complex contracts, ideally in a rail or government environment.
  • Deep understanding of procurement, governance, and risk management in a statutory authority.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
