About this role:


Working within Queensland Rail’s MPI team, the Manager Commercial & Contracts will manage the contractual and commercial items relating to projects within Major Projects Integration. It is an exciting time to join QLD Rail with huge growth on the horizon as we get ready for Olympics 2032 and beyond!

  

 

Purpose that Counts - Some of your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including DTMR, Delivery Authorities and internal departments
  • Lead negotiations and successful navigation of governance obligations
  • Prepare detailed analysis and advice on current best practice to support strategic decision making
  • Develop in conjunction with operations and assurance teams asset handover requirements and maintenance agreements

 

People Who Count - Who we are looking for:

 

  • Good knowledge of governing legislation, regulatory, commercial and contractual requirements in a government environment
  • High level of skill in negotiation, implementation and ongoing management of government and commercial arrangements
  • Sound level of strategic, conceptual, analytical, collaborative and influencing skills
  • Extensive knowledge interpreting, managing and translating evolving commercial requirements in a contractually diverse environment
