We are seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team of Data and Analysis professionals within the permanent full-time role of Condition Analyst located in Brisbane CBD.
About this role:
Join our high‑performing analytics team and play a key role in shaping Queensland Rail’s Sustainable Asset Management initiatives. In this role, you’ll help build the data models, dashboards, and visualisations that guide critical maintenance and renewal decisions across our SEQ Above and Below Rail assets.
You’ll work with a wide range of condition‑monitoring data—including field measurements, video, imagery, and LiDAR—to predict asset failure, estimate remaining useful life, optimise maintenance strategies, and support long‑term capital planning.
Your strong data‑science capability, along with proficiency in R, Python and SQL, will be central to your success. Based primarily in our Brisbane CBD offices, you’ll contribute to delivering insights that drive smarter, safer, and more sustainable asset‑management outcomes.
What you will bring:
- A relevant Bachelor-level qualification (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science) combined with proven experience in data analysis and the use of modern programming languages.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Data Science will be highly regarded.
- Strong technical capability across data analysis, modelling, and the tools used to deliver high‑quality insights.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and technical levels.
- Well‑developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong organisational and delivery focus, including the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
- A proactive, innovative mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement, new ways of working, and alignment with industry best practice.
