We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Safety Lead (South) to join our Major Projects team. This role will see you responsible for overseeing all contractor and subcontractor related construction activities ensuring all safety and technical compliance is met.
Purpose that Counts - Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure contractors and sub-contractors comply with construction and safety regulations; including identifying risks and developing and implementing mitigation plans
- Conduct workplace audits, observations, and inspections, in accordance with approved assurance processes
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the Project Safety Leaders
- Work with the Projects and Corporate Safety teams to ensure safety processes and procedures utilised
People Who Count - Who we are looking for:
- Extensive knowledge of WH&S Legislation, Rail Safety Acts and Regulations
- High level of skill in shaping and influencing function culture to achieve risk, safety, environment, compliance, and quality objectives
- High level of knowledge of enterprise-wide risk management processes, assurance principles and compliance methodologies
- Substantial knowledge of working in a technical environment.
- High level of skills in investigations and report writing, particularly related to safety incidents and unsafe work practices.
- Proven ability to influence, mentor and develop others, with the capacity to step into future leadership role
- Demonstrated experience operating within an alliance environment, collaborating with multiple delivery partners and stakeholders
