About this role:
Working within Queensland Rail’s Major Projects division as the Delivery Manager Network Transition, you will be providing leadership for the delivery of rail network integration activities associated with the delivery of externally delivered mega rail projects . This has you leading the Transition Strategy for the Major Projects portfolio, while being accountable for organisational readiness and acceptance and the resolution system wide constraints.
This role is a fixed term role until 30 June, 2029, based in Brisbane CBD.
You can expect some of your responsibilities to include:
- Lead the network transition, setting direction and priorities as part of the Major Projects leadership team and providing advice on the safe and timely implementation of major configuration changes.
- Direct the integrated transition portfolio across major projects, ensuring sequencing, staging and interdependencies are managed effectively
- Govern organisational readiness and acceptance for all configuration states
- Align and influence internal teams and external partners
- Drive enterprise readiness for future operating states, ensuring people, processes, systems and maintenance capability are prepared to adopt and sustain new assets and configuration outcomes.
- Identify, assess and manage strategic risks across concurrent transitions, commissioning assurance where required and providing transparent reporting to Executive and Board on progress, risks and enterprise impacts.
- Oversee program performance, financials and benefits realisation
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary leadership team, intervening decisively when critical transition requirements or delivery partner contributions are at risk.
What you can bring to the role:
- Extensive knowledge in leading major transition or change programs in large, complex organisations
- High level of skill in overseeing program level delivery and integration
- High level of skill in establishing and leading governance frameworks, including decision pathways, escalation processes and readiness or acceptance criteria
- High level of skill in identifying and managing strategic risks, issues and dependencies across concurrent workstreams
- High level communication and leadership skills, including leading multi disciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders
