Purpose That Counts - some of your responsibilities will include:

 

As the ETCS Program Manager Trackside & Signalling, you will provide senior project and program management services for the ETCS Project. You will be a point of contact for a team of project managers and support staff while making sure the business complies with our obligations under the Rail Safety National Law (RSNL). You will also;

 

• Manage trackside and signalling works with a focus on quality and compliance

• Providing advice on constructability, maintainability and safety from concept design to project completion

• Ensuring successful asset acceptance through monitoring and managing construction quality systems.

• Be required to work some nights and weekends to provide guidance and oversight

• Act as the interface between Queensland Rail and Sequence Alliance for construction, testing, commissioning, site access and asset acceptance related issues with respect to Sequence signalling and telecommunications works

• Support the development of project management practices and administration of construction, test and commissioning activities

• Manage when required, design and construction disciplines across whole of project for Queensland Rail delivered works

• Ensure multi-disciplinary interfaces are managed, including internal delivery, outsourced work, delivery partners, service authorities and government agencies

• Undertake negotiations and manage consultation and communication with clients, external bodies and Queensland Rail stakeholders as required

• Provide reporting on program status and outcomes, with particular emphasis on actual and potential variations to scope, cost, time and quality

• Provide technical construction and testing advice and leadership to the Sequence delivery team, including strategic direction to ensure alignment across all teams

• Manage site related access and project delivery including assurance activities around safety, quality and possession utilisation

• Monitor and manage assurance activities for both project and construction management including the implementation of risk management and value engineering activities across the program of works and delivery of assets to Queensland Rail

 

People Who Count – What you will bring:

 

• Extensive experience within project delivery and construction, ideally in the rail sector (Rail Safety National Law experience would be ideal)

• Quality project management experience in the infrastructure sector with the ability and willingness to lead teams

• High level interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• High level of Operational project management skills to oversee the delivery of highly complex projects

• Extensive knowledge and experience of railway signalling and/or telecommunications project delivery, engineering, interfaces and legislation

• High level of interpersonal and negotiating skills

• High level of skill in development and evaluation of rail investment projects
