About the role
As our Enterprise Architect, you will provide strategic enterprise architecture leadership by aligning business strategy, technology direction, and transformation initiatives with Queensland Rail's organisational priorities.
Partnering with Digital Business Partners, senior stakeholders and delivery teams, you will align business strategy, technology direction and investment decisions to deliver secure, scalable and sustainable organisational outcomes.
This is a unique opportunity to influence Queensland Rail's digital future and support transformational outcomes as we prepare for Brisbane 2032 and beyond.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Brisbane CBD.
Purpose that Counts. As a trusted and collaborative Enterprise Architect, you will:
• Shape Queensland Rail's enterprise architecture strategy, roadmaps, and technology direction.
• Partner with Digital Business Partners, senior stakeholders, and delivery teams to align business priorities, investment decisions, and transformation initiatives.
• Lead architecture planning for major programs, defining future-state capabilities, technology roadmaps and transition pathways.
• Develop and govern enterprise architecture across business, applications, data, integration, infrastructure, cloud and security domains.
• Champion architecture governance, standards, principles, and best-practice frameworks.
• Provide trusted strategic advice to executives on emerging technologies, architecture direction, risks, and investment priorities.
• Collaborate across Digital and Information teams to deliver aligned enterprise outcomes and influence organisation-wide transformation
• Support enterprise planning and investment activities through strategic architecture insight and future-state planning.
• Prepare strategic recommendations, roadmaps, business cases and executive-level materials to support informed decision-making.

You will bring:
• Extensive Enterprise Architecture experience in large, complex organisations, with expertise in strategy, transformation, roadmaps, and governance.
• Proven ability to align business priorities, technology direction, and investment decisions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience advising executive leaders.
• Experience developing enterprise roadmaps, future-state architectures, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Broad knowledge across enterprise architecture domains, including business, data, applications, integration, infrastructure, cloud, and cyber security.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and contemporary architecture practices, with a passion for delivering business-focused transformation outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you must be a collaborative individual, capable of building strong professional relationships. You must be comfortable articulating complex issues to a diverse range of stakeholders with differing requirements and backgrounds.
