Your Opportunity:

We are looking for a Facilities Maintainer to join our team and help keep our railway facilities in top condition. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of Queensland Rail’s buildings, stations, and associated infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting routine maintenance and inspections of facilities

• Identifying and reporting issues to ensure facilities remain safe and operational

• Collaborating with internal teams and external contractors for larger maintenance projects

• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations

• Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of facility assets, including minor concrete works and retaining wall repairs.

• Perform signage installation and line marking for station precincts and carparks.

• Maintain and repair fencing at station precincts and in the corridor.

• Carry out minor asphalt repairs on station platforms and carparks.

• Work every second weekend.

This Role Will Be Ideal for People Who:

• MR/HR Driver's License (preferred but not essential)

• Excavator and Bobcat licenses (preferred but not essential).

• Have hands-on experience in facility maintenance, property services, or a trade-related field

• Enjoy working in a dynamic, outdoor environment with a variety of tasks

• Are safety-focused and committed to delivering quality work

• Can work independently as well as part of a team
