Your Opportunity

Queensland Rail is seeking a Finance Administrator (internally known as a Senior Banking Services officer) to join the team in this exciting permanent opportunity.

 

As a Senior Banking Services officer you will provide oversight, guidance and hands‑on support across core service areas, including Cash Management, Banking Transactions, Credit Card Administration, and CabCharge Processing.

You will play an integral role in maintaining service quality, resolving complex queries, and ensuring ongoing compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer online banking systems, including managing user access, financial limits, and conducting periodic access reviews.
  • Manage EFTPOS terminal administration, audits, and transaction mapping to ensure accurate fund allocation.
  • Perform daily verification of payments processed from bank accounts, ensuring accuracy of SAP‑generated payment files.
  • Reconcile bank, cash, credit card, and CabCharge accounts, ensuring correct accounting treatment and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Support the administration of the Enterprise Expense Management System (SAP Concur), including user access, transaction review, and compliance with policies.

About you:

  • Proven ability to manage high‑volume requests and administrative tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of payment processes and their relationship to banking, cash, and credit card systems within a large and complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, particularly in analysing and reconciling bank, cash, and credit card transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience using financial and administrative systems such as SAP, expense management system/s, corporate online banking platforms, and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Solid understanding of accounting and banking policies, procedures, and related financial processes.
  • Well‑developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong commitment to providing quality customer service.
  • Experience using Concur and/or SAP is highly advantageous.
