About this role:
Working within Queensland Rail’s Major Projects division as the Group Senior Manager Systems Configuration, you will be part of the program integration group’s leadership team accountable for enabling and integrating allexternally delivered SEQ rail mega projects. This has you leading the definition and control of whole of system configuration state architecture associated with the delivery of projects.
This role is a fixed term role until 30 June, 2030, based in Brisbane CBD.
You can expect some of your responsibilities to include:
- Define and maintain the authoritative operator configuration baseline across all affected systems and operational states to provide a single source of truth for integrated planning, assurance and acceptance.
- Develop end to end configuration state maps and hierarchies that clearly describe legacy, transitional and final operating states.
- Lead configuration governance by establishing and enforcing baseline control, change control, deviation management, decision recording and acceptance processes.
- Identify, assess and manage configuration related risks, dependencies and conflicts.
- Coordinate configuration interfaces and dependencies with delivery partners and integration entities.
- Validate the compatibility of project delivered configurations with Queensland Rail's operating models, systems and readiness plans.
- Translate and communicate configuration states, decisions and acceptance artefacts to internal stakeholders, assurance functions and regulatory bodies.
- Identify and align operator owned enabling works-including procedures, training, system modifications, data migrations and organisational changes to configuration milestones.
What you can bring to the role:
- High level of skill in configuration management within complex, multi system operational environments, including defining and maintaining authoritative configuration baselines and configuration state maps.
- High level of skill in establishing and leading configuration governance frameworks, including baseline control, change control, deviation management and acceptance processes.
- High level of skill in integrating technical, operational and readiness inputs into unified configuration definitions that support safe and efficient configuration state transitions.
- High level of skill in identifying and managing configuration related risks, dependencies and conflicts across concurrent projects and staged implementation activities.
- Extensive knowledge of validating configuration compatibility with operating models, systems and organisational readiness requirements
- High level of skill in influencing and aligning diverse stakeholders
