We are now seeking an experienced Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join our Employee Wellbeing team and play a critical role in supporting the health, safety and performance of our rail safety workers.

Your opportunity 

 

As the Health and Wellbeing Adviser you will work with the broader Employee Wellbeing team who are committed to ensuring both the physical and mental health of the Queensland Rail workforce. In this role you will provide guidance and support to the business to ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety laws with regards to psychosocial safety.

 

You will support research and analysis of internal trends, benchmarking activities, and emerging best practice to help strengthen Queensland Rail’s approach to psychological wellbeing. Working closely with senior team members, you will assist in the design, coordination, and evaluation of organisational psychological health initiatives that align with business needs and legislative requirements. You will contribute to coaching, training, and consultation activities by preparing materials, supporting sessions, and providing informed guidance to workers, leaders, safety practitioners, and HR teams.

 

You will also assist in the development of policies, guidelines, and training programs that underpin organisational health psychology initiatives, and contribute to workplace investigations through gathering information, preparing documentation, and supporting early intervention strategies for employees impacted by workplace incidents, trauma, or occupational violence.

 

About you:

 

  • Have a strong knowledge of practices relevant to organisational health psychology including interventions
  • Be a great communicator with both interpersonal and influencing skills to drive and implement organisational health psychology strategies and interventions
  • Demonstrated influencing skills will be key together with the ability to build rapport to a wide stakeholder group
  • It would be advantageous to come from a case management background or have a Certificate in Counselling or similar

 

Qualifications: 

 

Allied health, clinical, or medical qualifications are not mandatory but highly desirable.
