Your opportunity
Our Digital & Information (D&I) team is searching for a proactive and experienced ICT Commercial Finance Analyst to join our close-knit and dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial efficiency and commercial success of our ICT initiatives. You will play a key role in managing procurement activities, ensuring smooth financial operations, and providing insightful commercial analysis to support data-driven decision making.
Procurement:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for the entire D&I function, including projects, operations, contracts/contracts renewals.
- Utilise ServiceNow ticketing system to streamline procurement requests and ensure efficient processing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understanding their needs and facilitate timely procurement of ICT goods and services.
ICT Financial Coordination
- Liaise between the D&I, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing Support teams to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure accurate accounting records.
- Work closely with finance teams to address general finance management issues and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Manage month-end processes and other financial accounting activities specific to ICT expenditures.
- Communicate key month-end requirements to other ICT business units.
Commercial Analysis
- Analyse and provide key commercial insights into the D&I function’s expenditures, comparing actuals against budgeted.
- Utilise SAP to generate monthly reports and transfer data into Excel for further analysis.
- Collaborate with the D&I senior leadership team to understand budget variances and provide forecasting insights to support informed decision-making.
- Proactively identify potential financial risk and collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated experience managing procurement activities, including purchase order creation, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles; experience in expense management is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP system) and strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- A self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of identifying opportunities for improvement and taking initiative to implement solutions.
- Ability to identify potential problems, analyse their root causes, and collaborate with the team to develop effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships across the organisation.
Remuneration & Employment Type
This is a fixed-term, fulltime position ending 15/04/2027, based in Brisbane CBD with a starting base salary of $117,750 plus 12.75% superannuation and hybrid work options to support the balance between work and personal commitments.
