Your opportunity
We’re seeking a proactive and resilient Insurance Coordinator (AS5) to join our Insurance and Risk Advisory team. This role provides essential support in management of Queensland Rail’s insurance program, general insurance claims processes and day to day insurance activities of the business. It’s a role requiring initiative, independence, and strong interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with the yearly insurance renewal and administration of the corporate insurance program.
- Assist in management of general insurance claims (including recoveries)
- Be responsible for monthly general insurance reporting.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders (including customers, ministerial departments, insurers, insurance brokers, external legal panel in relation to general insurance claimsPrepare and distribute insurance-related documentation, reports, and correspondence.
- Support risk assessment activities and maintain accurate records.
- Respond to the day-to-day needs of the business in relation to any general insurance queries.
- Provide administrative support including inputting accounts for payment and management of the General Insurance Claims Management System (GIMs)

This is a fulltime, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $117,750 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.

- Background in claims management, insurance, legal support, or customer service.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of insurance principles and risk management practices.
