About this role
Queensland Rail are excited to offer the opportunity for an Integrated Possessions Coordinator to join the team in this fixed term position until June 2028 (withthe possibility of extension). This team is responsible for interfacing with external agencies in the delivery of large rail infrastructure projects within our Major Projects department.
This role, along with the team, will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of significant rail projects.
Core responsibilities - Purpose That Counts
- Lead and effectively coordinate all possession planning, scheduling and management through effective analysis of conflicting project dependencies and milestones and develop options that optimize project delivery, business and operational outcomes.
- Work within business-wide and project management governance, client and legislative requirements and ensure all CRR Program corridor access activities are conducted in accordance with the applicable SEQ Network practices, policies, standards and procedures.
- Build and manage constructive and collaborative relationships with key external and internal stakeholders including the interface between CRR Program Delivery team and Queensland Rail Corridor Access Management team to balance access demands across train operations, infrastructure maintenance, capital projects and the CRR Program of work.
- Act as a point of escalation or mediation where risks arise with potential to impact business and or program objectives, including accountability for direct intervention.
- Contribute to a high-performance culture focused on safety leadership, teamwork, stakeholder engagement, collaboration and achieving high-quality delivery and performance outcomes whilst building long term value for Queensland Rail.
This position plays a significant role in the successful planning of key rail projects in Queensland. To succeed in this role, you will have great stakeholder and interpersonal skills, the ability to build productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and be well organised.

An ideal candidate will have as a minimum - People Who Count
- Extensive knowledge of Queensland Rail's SEQ network, practices, policies, standards and procedures used in possessions planning, scheduling and management.
- High level of skill in scheduling, programming and monitoring major work and management of corridor access to ensure customer supplier and stakeholder expectations are met.
- High level of people management skills, with strong influencing, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- High level of skill in managing complex project delivery and operational issues as they arise and producing both innovative and realistic solutions.
- Knowledge of and willingness to commit to work within Queensland Rail's values and behaviours.
