  • Participating in and managing tender and contract activities, including consultant selection and tender evaluation.
  • Planning and delivering complete, coordinated, multi-disciplinary design packages ready for tender, including all required drawings, documentation and certifications.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant safety, risk management, operational and environmental legislation, standards and Queensland Rail governance frameworks.
  • Building and maintaining strong, trusted stakeholder relationships between project teams, design teams and key internal and external stakeholders to achieve beneficial project outcomes.

We are seeking to connect with someone who ideally demonstrates:

  • A minimum of 5 years of design management experience in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management related discipline.
  • A high level of skill and experience in managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams on complex rail infrastructure or comparable large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven capability in administering and managing multi-disciplinary consultant and professional services agreements.
  • Strong experience leading the delivery of commercially focused design management solutions, with specialist expertise in at least one of the following areas: design, asset management, infrastructure maintenance, construction or supervision.
  • Highly developed relationship management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, underpinned by emotional intelligence and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of collaborative tools such as Aconex,  railway transport operations, construction, maintenance and safety standards, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
  • Extensive understanding of design and engineering requirements associated with rail infrastructure works or similar complex environments.
