Your opportunity
This exciting six month fulltime fixed term opportunity sits within our Employee Wellbeing function in the Health Safety and Wellbeing department of People Safety and Sustainability. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional ready to provide exceptional leadership across Queensland Rail.
You will lead the Employee Wellbeing team to ensure efficient, consistent, and customer-focused delivery of services. This includes Self Insurance, injury management, health compliance, psychosocial risk management, and employee wellbeing initiatives.
The role also involves leading the Self Insurance and Health Hub areas within a complex and rigorous legislative and regulatory environment. You’ll be instrumental in shaping and delivering projects, programs, strategy, and collaborating across functions to enhance health and wellbeing outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
You will lead the Employee Wellbeing function in Health Safety and Wellbeing. Key priorities include leading the Self Insurance and Health Hub areas to deliver high performance outcomes while maintaining legislative and regulatory compliance, procurement of the Employee Assistance Program and Occupational Health contracts, delivery of the Healthy Minds Strategy implementation plan and Employee Wellbeing initiatives and programs including the Healthy Minds Support Crew.
This role involves leading teams with complex health and wellbeing portfolios, navigating interpersonal relationships, managing procurement and vendor relationships, and delivering projects. You’ll influence senior leadership to deliver sustainable outcomes in a demanding operational environment.
