Your opportunity
Enterprise Assurance plays a critical role in helping Queensland Rail deliver its strategic objectives with confidence. The Enterprise Assurance and Insights Team is a highly regarded group of assurance professionals within the Risk, Assurance and Compliance Group that provides strategic leadership and expert guidance across Risk, Assurance, Compliance, Business Resilience and Policy Governance. The team plays a critical role in shaping enterprise level assurance direction and supporting Queensland Rail’s transformation journey, delivering positive outcomes for customers, employees and the broader community.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager Enterprise Assurance and Insights to lead the ongoing development, implementation and enhancement of Queensland Rail's enterprise-wide Assurance Framework and Risk Governance reporting, while providing independent insight, integrated assurance and trusted advice that strengthens governance, supports successful change delivery and builds organisational confidence across the organisation.
Leading a team of skilled professionals, you will partner with business leaders to strengthen assurance capability, enhance governance practices and support effective assurance application across the organisation. Through your leadership, you will help deliver positive safety, customer, people, commercial and community outcomes.
In this role, you will:
• Lead Queensland Rail’s enterprise assurance and insights function, providing strategic advice and leadership to strengthen organisational assurance maturity, lead annual assurance planning with Business stakeholders and support informed decision-making by Executive and Board Committees.
• Develop and continuously improve enterprise assurance frameworks, systems, processes, tools and programs, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements, industry standards and business objectives.
• Provide insightful reporting and assurance performance oversight to Executive and Board Committees.
• Drive consistent and contemporary assurance practices across the organisation, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities and embedding effective assurance frameworks, processes, tools and systems.
• Enhance assurance capability and performance through education, coaching and support for leaders and teams, promoting accountability and best-practice across the business.
• Lead a high-performing team and optimise technology , ensuring assurance confidence, robust control environments, continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD, offering hybrid work options and 12.75% superannuation to support a healthy work-life balance. We offer an attractive salary based on skills and experience.
What we’re looking for
• Extensive leadership experience in enterprise assurance management and reporting within a large, complex organisation, preferably in a corporate or strategic operational context.
• Proven ability to provide strategic advice and build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders, fostering a strong assurance culture, supporting informed decision-making and driving organisational maturity.
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing and continuously improving assurance policies, systems and tools, ensuring practical, consistent and fit-for-purpose outcomes.
• Strong capability in preparing and presenting high-quality reporting to Executive and Board Committees, providing clear insights into strategic and corporate objectives.
• Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, legislative and regulatory requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply these effectively to ensure compliance and deliver decision-supporting assurance.
