About the team:

Our SEQ Project Delivery business are responsible for delivering programs and projects of capital works across a variety of asset types including, stations and facilities, rollingstock overhauls, rail systems and track and civil.  The team play a key role in ensuring we bring safe and reliable transport infrastructure for the people of Queensland. Our SEQ Project Delivery Office manages the largest portfolio by number of projects and second largest capital program in SEQ with some $300M annual budget.
   

 

About the role:

This role will lead our Project Management Delivery Office, you will be working with the General Manager Project Delivery by providing strategic, operational leadership of project and enabling and support services to assist SEQ Project Delivery Managers to successfully deliver a suite of SEQ Queensland Rail projects, major works and contracts. 
 
A primary purpose for this role will be hands on managing and leading a multidisciplinary team with competing priorities to ensure our large capital projects are supported with cost management and control, scheduling, governance, project performance monitoring and reporting, scope and risk management along with enabling project administrative and coordination functions within their program areas. 

 

A key focus will be developing and enhancing the capabilities of the team and building on the culture of continuous improvement with a particular emphasis in safety, leadership and professional excellence.

 

 

What we are looking for:

  • An experienced Manager of a Project Management Office with a solid understanding of scheduling, cost control, project risk and governance.
  • Strong expertise in managing resources required to support project delivery such as administration, project coordination; stakeholder engagement and management; document control and project reporting.
  • Strong people leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • A working understanding of project management and its processes with the ability to influence.
  • Resilient and adaptive to change.
