About the role
The NGR team is a centralised team that interfaces and engages with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external partners to ensure seamless operations of the State owned NGR fleet on the Queensland Rail network.
Our New Generation Rollingstock team have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Interface Adviser to join the team based in Brisbane City. You will be required to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Queensland Rail’s operational requirements and obligations are being met sufficiently. You will also work with internal business stakeholder to define, scope and then communicate wayside systems requirements to external stakeholders.
Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include
• Liaise closely with external stakeholders to ensure Qld Rail operational requirements and obligations are being met
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define, scope and communicate wayside systems requirements to external stakeholders
• Maintain internal fault and maintenance records to ensure contractor compliance with stabling yard requirements
• Coordinate activities between internal and external stakeholders on the provision and support of Contractor facilities, access and IT requirements in Qld Rail stabling yards
• Manage Contractor interface requirements including facility faults, induction and access cards (QR and Contractor sites), and training compliance tracking and actioning
• Coordinate onboarding of Contractor personnel, providing input into investigations (data downloads, CCTV requests)
• Plan and manage interface activities between QR and contractors including induction site visits, familiarisation activities (rollingstock), and assurance activities
• Assist NGR Assurance and provide support to Project teams, from time to time including attendance at evening assurance activities conducted at stabling sites.

About you
• Proven experience planning, analysing, and maintaining transport operations.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to establish and develop working relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with other teams/leaders.
• Proven experience of working towards deadlines - aligning projects & tasks to business requirements
• Ability to be agile and highly adaptable to changing plans/ targets
