About the Role
As a Network Interface Analyst, you will play a vital role in keeping our rail network safe and running smoothly.
You’ll provide expert advice on access approvals, operational authorisations and interface risk management where you will work closely with operators and key stakeholders to improve interface standards and deliver safe, reliable rail outcomes across the network.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Brisbane.
Purpose that Counts. As a Network Interface Analyst you will:
• Provide high-level business advice and assess interface requirements for access enquiries, connection agreements and facilities licences.
• Assess operator operating and test plans and recommend authorisation for services on the Queensland Rail network.
• Prepare and issue Train Route Acceptances and Authorities to Travel for proposed rail operations.
• Liaise with operators, other rail managers, access seekers/holders and Queensland Rail divisions to manage compliance with interface standards.
• Support and participate in joint interface risk assessments for access and connection agreements and facilities licences.
• Provide expert advice to Queensland Rail divisions on access, connection and facilities licence matters.
• Monitor rail operations and report interface incidents and non-compliances.
• Research and advise on developments in rail operations, interface standards and access regimes to support continuous improvement.

We are looking to connect with someone who will have:
• High-level knowledge in railway operations, rail infrastructure, rollingstock interfaces and the legislative and safety requirements of rail transport.
• Proven ability to apply safe rail operating principles when determining conditions for the movement of rollingstock.
• Well developed risk management capability, with experience assessing and mitigating operational and interface risks.
• Highly developed analytical and business focused thinking, with the ability to work effectively in a complex, multi disciplinary environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, with a collaborative and flexible, team oriented approach.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
