About the Role


As the Operations Support Officer you will play an integral role in keeping our long-distance services running smoothly. You’ll support the Operations Coordinator and onboard teams with operational coordination, operational roster management support and administrative support. 


This is a permanent full-time position based at Platform 10, Roma Street.

 Purpose that Counts. As an Operations Support Officer some of your duties will include:


•    Ensure onboard safety equipment (e.g. first aid kit) and EFTPOS terminals meet requirements
•    Adjust rosters to cover unplanned events
•    Manage HACCP compliance, finance entries (SAP), invoices and petty cash
•    Prepare reports for management
•    Track cash flow, reconcile inventory and report variances
•    Order provisions as needed
•    Provide additional support as directed 
•    Work across a rotating roster which will include evenings, weekends and public holidays

Hours / Roster: 


You will work across a rotating roster generally between the hours of 08:00 to 19:30 which will include every second weekend and some public holidays.  


We are looking to connect with someone who has: 


•    Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-paced and agile environment
•    Previous admin experience with Microsoft Office including Excel (basic formulas and reports)
•    Cash handling and basic accounting knowledge
•    Customer-focused with excellent stakeholder engagement
