We are currently seeking an experienced rail safety professional to join our corporate Rail Safety team. This permanent role is an opportunity to use your strong rail safety experience to lead business changes and projects that reduce rail safety risk. This important role will see you join a growing team with excellent career growth within a well-supported and collaborative environment.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Lead improvement initiatives and activities relating to reducing rail safety risks
- Support the wider Rail Safety team with key initiatives, including human factors, rail safety accreditation, safe working, investigations and assurance portfolios
- Provide advice to stakeholders regarding operational rail safety risks
- Participate in forums and meetings to advise and influence controls to mitigate operational safety incidents
- Ensure you are continuously up to date with relevant legislation surrounding Rail Safety National Law and industry initiatives such as the National Rail Action Plan
What we are looking for:
- Extensive knowledge of railway operations and rail safety
- Extensive knowledge of risk management
- High level of skill in project and change management
- High level of influencing, interpersonal, consultation, relationship building, stakeholder management and influencing and negotiation skills
