We are currently seeking a suitably experienced professional to join Queensland Rail in this role until 30th of June 2031 on a fulltime basis. Based in Brisbane CBD, this role will see you providing expert commercial and contractual support across major rail infrastructure projects, ensuring commercial, contractual and regulatory compliance. You will support commercial negotiations, coordinate Request for Information (RFI) obligations and processes, and provide strategic advice on complex commercial and contractual matters.

 

The role requires engagement with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and commercial counterparts, to build productive relationships, influence outcomes, and resolve complex issues. You will contribute to negotiations in accordance with Queensland Rail governance requirements, undertake detailed analysis and investigations, and deliver commercially sound solutions that support Queensland Rail's strategic objectives.

 

Purpose that Counts - Some of your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Support commercial negotiations in the active management of legislative, contractual, governance and regulatory compliance
  • Co-ordinate manage and maintain relevant systems, processes and procedures
  • Undertake complex research requests/enquiries regarding, state and federal government enquiries
  • Draft briefings, reports, submissions, assessments and correspondence for the consideration of the Executive Leadership Team, and other stakeholders 

 

 People Who Count - Who we are looking for:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and contract administration.
  • Proven ability to assess Request for Information (RFI) applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in rail or infrastructure project environments is highly desirable.
