About the Role
Queensland Rail is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support the delivery of the Wave Project, a major infrastructure program shaping the future of the SEQ network. This is a 4-year fixed term opportunity, initially based in Brisbane and transitioning to Beerwah in mid 2027, offering the chance to be closely involved in a high-profile, long-term project.
In this role, you will work alongside Program and Project Managers to coordinate governance, reporting and project documentation, facilitate key workshops, and support the effective delivery of project activities. You will play a critical role in ensuring strong project controls, clear stakeholder communication and seamless coordination across multiple workstreams, contributing to the successful delivery of this landmark program.
Purpose That Counts – Some of the responsibilities of the role:
- Prepare and maintain project governance documentation for control groups, including meeting coordination, minutes and secretariat support.
- Develop and manage project scope, plans, stakeholder engagement materials and supporting documentation in line with established templates and standards.
- Coordinate governance activities, reporting requirements and facilitate key project workshops such as risk, Safety in Design and readiness sessions.
- Maintain risk, issue and lessons learned registers while supporting the delivery of project activities in line with project plans and governance frameworks.
People Who Count - What you can bring to the role:
- Strong ability to scope, coordinate and deliver project tasks, supported by effective communication skills across written and verbal formats.
- Sound knowledge of project management methodologies, with the ability to identify and resolve issues throughout project delivery.
- Proficient in using computer applications, including MS Office and spreadsheets, to support reporting and coordination activities.
