About the role:

Our South East Queensland (SEQ) Project Delivery Track & Civil team are looking for a Project Manager (Engineering) to join their team on a permanent full-time basis based in the Brisbane CBD.

 

In this role, you can anticipate some of your daily activities to include:

  • Developing and managing project funding submissions as well as project management plans, scope, quality, schedules and budgets 
  • Determining resource requirements, as well as contractual and procurement strategies for your project
  • Applying appropriate project governance processes and structures
  • Facilitating and implementing risk management and value engineering activities
  • Consulting regularly with internal stakeholders, community groups, unions, government agencies and project governance bodies 
  • Undertaking project reporting on project progress, administering contracts as required with the support of contracts, procurement and legal representatives.
  • Finalising projects on completion, including transfer of assets, closure of project financial systems, conducting project audit and review material, and the preparation of final project reports.
  • Working as part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary engineering project management team with a variety of skills and experience in the rail industry 

 

At a minimum we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the below skills and experience which is aligned to the requirements of this role:

  • Qualified experience in construction and delivery of multi-disciplinary building infrastructure project management, working within an agile program environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the management and construction of civil & structural related projects (eg. Bridges, buildings, sheds, shelters, roads, pathways etc) with particular focus on bridge construction management (highly recommended)
  • Project management skills supporting milestones through full project lifecycle from initial scope to close out.
  • Quantified experience in contract management and dispute resolution.
  • Experience with progress reporting, risk management, developing and maintaining project schedules and procurement activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to quickly foster positive relationships with a large range of stakeholders across our internal business and external partners, providing an interface to minimise impacts and facilitate key project deliverables. 
  • Substantial communication, negotiation, consulting and writing skills.
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia).
  • A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence.
