About the role
 

The Regional Project Delivery Office has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Project Planning Manager to support the broader Regional Project Delivery teams. Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for project planning, this role is key to managing workload distribution among schedulers, maintaining schedule quality, and ensuring reporting data is accurate and valuable for decision-making. It also supports consistent project delivery through standardised planning processes, methods, and tools.

 

  • Brisbane based
  • Permanent fulltime role

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading and supporting RPD in maintaining governance across all project schedules.
  • Providing expert guidance on planning practices and tools, including the development and assurance of cost- and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Supporting the implementation of new initiatives such as Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and value of reporting data to support informed decision-making.
  • Preparing and presenting planning reports and key project activities to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborating closely with team members to manage workload and maintain schedule quality across projects.

About the team
 

The Regional Project Delivery Office provides support across our regional asset delivery project teams. The Project Planning Manager will lead and work alongside a reputable, high-performing team known for its strong collaborative and positive culture delivering high-calibre work.

 

We are looking for candidates who have:

 

  • Previous experience of planning and scheduling of rail construction projects.
  • Sound understanding of government planning and projects
  • High level of skill in P6
  • Proven experience in leaderships roles.
