About the role
We're seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Support Officer (AS4) to provide high level support to the SEQ General Manager Technical Capability (Engineering).
You'll be the backbone of the team, managing the GM’s schedule, handling communications, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with leadership and gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment, particularly within the technical portfolio.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the GM’s Schedule: Coordinate appointments, meetings, travel arrangements, and more, ensuring their time is used effectively.
- Handle Communications: Screen calls and emails, draft correspondence, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and professional responses that reflect positively on the office.
- Provide Administrative Support: Prepare presentations, manage documents, and handle various administrative tasks to keep the office running efficiently, preferably in a paperless, electronic manner.
- Build Relationships: Develop strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation and external partners, demonstrating a pleasant and approachable demeanour.
- Represent the Office: Act as a professional and positive ambassador for the GM and the team, both internally and externally.
- Support Technical Capability: Demonstrate a genuine interest in the work of the Technical Capability team and contribute to its success.
What you’ll bring:
- Exceptional Organisational Skills: You're a master of multitasking and prioritisation, able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent Communication Skills: You have strong written and verbal communication skills, able to interact professionally with people at all levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office: You're comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create high-quality documents and presentations.
- Discretion and Confidentiality: You understand the importance of handling sensitive information with the utmost care.
- Positive Attitude: You're a team player with a can-do attitude, always willing to go the extra mile.
- Relationship Building Skills: You have a knack for building rapport and establishing trust with others.
- Adaptability: You’re flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities and needs.

Remuneration & Employment Type:
This is a permanent, fulltime position based in Brisbane CBD with a starting base salary of $101,493 plus 12.75% superannuation (based on a 76 hour fortnight). Hybrid work options are available to support the balance between work and personal commitments.
