About this role
Queensland Rail’s Major Projects team is currently recruiting for two Projects Director roles.
Working withing either the Central projects space or South projects space, these roles will see you leading the delivery and integration of major rail infrastructure programs within a complex operating environment, ensuring alignment with contractual and regulatory obligations, and the expectations of the Delivery Authorities, Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR), and other key stakeholders.
You will operate within complex governance and commercial frameworks, including Alliance and Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements, to align diverse stakeholder objectives, manage safety change, and oversee business integration to ensure a smooth transition to operations.
Purpose That Counts - Some of your responsibilities will include
- Provide leadership, technical and professional guidance to design, planning and delivery teams within the project
- Manage the delivery of the project in accordance with budgets, schedules, safety targets and project performance measures
- Provide a high level of reporting to key stakeholders which will include variations to cost. Time or quality risks and agreed deliverables
- Ensure expected enterprise project management frameworks and governance arrangements are adhered to
- Lead and provide clear direction and development of the project to ensure delivery of results in highly complex and diverse brownfield environment
People Who Count - What you can bring to the role
- You must have a high level of skill and experience in leading the strategic direction of a complex major infrastructure project from development to construction
- Extensive knowledge of rail transport operations including legislation and organisational governance
- High level of skill in contract negotiation, management and reporting within various delivery models
- High level of influencing, interpersonal, communication and consultation skills
