Your Opportunity
Queensland Rail has an exciting opportunity for a solution orientated individuals with high attention to detail and can work autonomously to join our team as a Rail Operations Planner (internally known as Supply Chain Operational Planner) on a temporary fulltime basis until June 2027.
As a Rail Operations Planner, you will play an integral role in planning and coordinating train and possession requests for track and station maintenance, repairs and upgrades. You will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure there is capacity for any planned, unplanned or emergency works.
Purpose that Counts. As a Rail Operations Planner, some of your duties will include:
• Coordinating, developing and planning all possessions and train alterations
• Developing Daily Train Plan Diagrams and associated train notices and assist in rescheduling services due to operational variations
• Consulting, negotiating and responding to internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues and to ensure the allocation of maintenance windows and track possessions minimise the disruption to contracted rail services

About you:
We are seeking solutions orientated individuals who has a high attention to detail and can work autonomously within a supportive team environment. In addition to this the ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience in rail or operational planning
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines within an agile and fast-paced environment
• Experience in Vizi-Rail or similar planning systems would also be advantageous
• A customer focused attitude to ensure a positive and solutions-based experience for our stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
