Your opportunity

 

The Community and Stakeholder Engagement team plays a vital role in engaging with and educating our key stakeholders and local communities, delivering best practice advice and supporting communication materials. 

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Adviser Community and Stakeholder Engagement (AS6) to join our dedicated, high-performing team and work closely with key stakeholders (internal and external) and local community partners to drive Queensland Rail’s operations.

 

In this role, you will gain unique exposure to some of our high-profiled, large-scale infrastructure projects that will help shape Brisbane ahead of the 2032 Summer Olympics, including accessibility upgrades and track renewals.

 

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure or major projects fields.
  • Strong skills using InDesign (or similar design programs) to create communications materials.
  • Ability to build rapport and sense of connectedness with the community to de-escalate sensitive situations.
  • Identify and capitalise on key stakeholder and engagement opportunities and develop customer, community engagement, and stakeholder communication plans.
  • Lead and model customer-focused behaviour by delivering the highest standards of service to our stakeholders and community partners.
  • Foster and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines within a fast-paced work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications (or equivalent), highly regarded.

Remuneration & Employment Type

 

This is a fulltime, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $135,199 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.
