About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Adviser People to join our HR Central People Services team. As a trusted adviser, you will provide expert HR and Employee Relations (ER) guidance, coaching and support to leaders and employees across a broad range of complex workplace matters.
You’ll partner with leaders to navigate a broad range of matters, ensure compliance with legislation and organisational frameworks and contribute to a high-performing and engaged workforce.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Brisbane CBD.
Purpose that Counts. As a trusted Senior Adviser People, you will:
• Provide expert advice on complex employee matters, including performance, conduct, grievances, disputes, consultation, investigations and policy interpretation
• Partner with leaders to proactively manage and resolve people issues while balancing business and employee outcomes
• Support consultation and dispute resolution processes, including Step 1 and Step 2 matters.
• Facilitate and deliver training and capability-building initiatives on HR policies, legislation and people management practices.
• Prepare high-quality reports, recommendations, correspondence and HR documentation.
• Coach, mentor and support team members, providing support and escalation for complex matters.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements through sound governance and documentation practices.
• Monitor HR trends and legislative changes to provide strategic advice and recommendations.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to influence and embed effective people management practices.

We are looking to connect with someone who has:
• Extensive case management experience providing high-level HR and ER advice across a broad range of employee and workplace matters.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements, awards and HR policies.
• A thorough understanding of contemporary human resource management practices within a large and complex organisation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage complex HR matters, initiatives and projects
• Strong consulting and facilitation skills, with the ability to identify priorities, resolve issues and build productive effective partnerships.
• Highly developed coaching, mentoring, analytical and research skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
• Experience preparing recommendations, reports and complex HR documentation
