Your Opportunity

We currently have a great opportunity for a permanent, full-time Senior Advisor - Workers Compensation, to join our Self Insurance team- Health Services. As a self-insured employer, Queensland Rail manages Workers' Compensation claims in-house and in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures and standards.

 

You will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of Claims Advisers through all aspects of the claim life cycle to facilitate early and safe, person-centred claim management, rehabilitation and return to work for work-related physical and psychological injuries or illnesses by engaging with multiple stakeholders, and provide ongoing monitoring and management, in accordance with the self-insurance licence requirements

You will have experience in statutory claims management, with experience in common law desirable but not necessary.

About you:

You must demonstrate an ability to lead a team and influence internal stakeholders in the business as well as possess excellent communication skills. You will be required to educate and engage the business on claims processes to support positive outcomes for both injured employees and Queensland Rail.

Having extensive knowledge in the application of Workers’ Compensation legislation and claims management strategies in a self-insured environment is highly regarded for this role, as is the ability to support and develop the competence and performance of direct team members.

 

Remuneration & Employment Type

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Brisbane CBD, offering a starting salary of $135,199, 12.75% superannuation, and hybrid work options to help balance work and personal commitments.
