As a Senior Assurance and Risk Adviser, you’ll support the Regional Safety, Risk & Assurance Team and operational leaders to develop and deliver the Regional Annual Assurance Plan and Program of Work. You’ll help deliver and lead assurance activities for complex and operational business environment, strengthen assurance, and improve the effectiveness of systems, policies, and regulatory requirements.


You’ll lead assurance across the Region, analyse data and reports, drive continuous improvement, and build strong, influential relationships with stakeholders.


This permanent full-time role is based in Brisbane CBD, with some travel to Regional operations.

Purpose that Counts. As a Senior Assurance and Risk Adviser some of your duties will include: 


•    Deliver and lead assurance (second line) activities for complex and operational business environments
•    Conduct local assurance (first line) activities to confirm controls are operating effectively
•    Prepare assurance reports for Senior Leaders, including findings and recommended actions that add value and drive improvement
•    Coordinate and liaise on assurance activities across the business, including internal and external stakeholders, through reporting and tracking 
•    Promote assurance tools, checklist and practices with leaders across the business
•    Deliver a program of work that drives continuous improvement

We are looking to connect with someone who ideally will have:


•    Demonstrated experience leading assurance activities for complex and operational business environments 
•    Strong influencing, relationship-building and negotiation skills 
•    Ability to analyse data, report in meaningful insights and recommend improvements 
•    Proven stakeholder engagement across diverse groups 
•    Current Queensland driver’s license.
