Your opportunity
Ready to take the lead in strategic procurement? Join our Procurement ICT & Corporate Services team as a Senior Category Specialist (AS6) and play a key role in shaping high-value procurement outcomes across the organisation.
- Lead complex procurement activities end-to-end, including sourcing strategies and contract negotiations in a Queensland Government and QITC environment.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance to drive value and continuous improvement
- Use market insights and procurement data to guide planning and informed business decisions
About the role
You will lead and deliver procurement sourcing strategies for high-value goods and services, conduct compliant market approaches and negotiate strong commercial outcomes within a Queensland Government and QITC-aligned environment, ensuring they align with business priorities. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll build trusted relationships, provide practical advice to support effective decision-making.
You will identify procurement opportunities, resolve issues, and deliver value across the business. This involves analysing spend and supplier performance, applying best practice procurement approaches, and contributing to process improvements that strengthen efficiency and compliance. You will also manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered smoothly, on time, and to a high standard, while supporting contract development, negotiation, and execution.

Remuneration and Employment Type
- Salary of $135,199 plus 12.75% superannuation
- Fixed-term, full time position to 30th June 2027
- Brisbane in CBD
